Soul Poems: Magic Beans

A poem I wrote about putting the importance of following your own feelings above any specific spiritual ritual.

………………………………………………………

It’s becoming too boring
This living apart
What ever happened
To one love, one heart

I’m sick of our gurus
And their cardboard advice
All that we need
Is our own secret spice

For you are a god
As surely as me
And I’m waiting here hoping
That you will soon see

That life is more dull
When you don’t know your worth
Little beans, you are magic
You were born of this earth

There are no more accolades
You need to earn
But there are walls and bridges
That you need to burn

So sit in the bath
And cry if you must
Let Ben and Jerry
Teach you to trust

Or lay in a field
With a crystal in hand
And yell at the moon
If that is your jam

Pick flowers for Shiva
In the form of a dance
While on psychedelics
Or sitting in trance

Visit a psychic
And try to bend spoons
Then use them to dig up
Your abandonment wounds

Write sappy poems
About being in love
About how it will feel
When you fit like a glove

Study the teachings
Of Kylo and Rey
Both the light and the dark side
Can show you the way

It matters so little
What you actually do
To help you connect
To the feelings in you

When you discover these jewels
You’ve been guarding inside
Please share them with us
So we can all feel alive
