A poem I wrote during the burning intensity of the beginning of my spiritual awakening, when it felt like my entire soul was on fire.

It’s high time I revealed to you
My raging inner fire
I will dismantle one by one
The shields around this pyre
I don’t need to protect you
From feeling you’re outshined
If you’re feeling envious
It’s no concern of mine
The fuel that runs throughout me
Will never all be spent
And now I’m turning up the heat
To one hundred percent
I’ll soon begin the lighting
Of the matches that I’ve shelved
So if you feel inadequate,
Go work on yourself.
